Ancient herb tested as new hope for clearer skin
NCT ID NCT07076784
Summary
This study tested whether a cream made from a plant compound called icariin could improve acne and reduce acne scars. Twenty-five adults with acne on both sides of their face applied the icariin cream to one side and a placebo cream to the other side twice a day for two months. Researchers compared the two sides to see if icariin reduced the number of pimples and made scars look better.
