Summary
This study is testing whether the over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drug ibuprofen can lower PSA levels in men. PSA is a blood test used to screen for prostate cancer, but it can be high due to inflammation, not just cancer. Researchers want to see if reducing prostate inflammation with ibuprofen lowers PSA readings, which could help some men avoid unnecessary follow-up tests like biopsies.
