NCT ID NCT02518555

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested whether the drug ibrutinib, combined with standard vaccines, can delay disease progression in people with early-stage, high-risk chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) who have no symptoms yet. Forty-two participants received ibrutinib and vaccines to see if the treatment could keep the cancer from getting worse. The goal was to find a better way to manage the disease before it becomes active.
