New drug shows promise for stubborn thyroid eye disease

Summary

This study tested a new medicine called IBI311 for people with thyroid eye disease that did not get better with steroids. The medicine is an antibody that blocks a protein linked to eye bulging and inflammation. The study involved 53 adults and measured if the treatment could reduce eye bulging by at least 2 millimeters without worsening the other eye.
