Blood injection may boost tooth infection healing, study finds

Summary
This study looked at whether injecting a substance made from a patient's own blood (i-PRF) into the gums around an infected tooth could improve healing. Sixty adults with chronic tooth infections received standard root canal treatment, and half also got the i-PRF injection. Researchers measured two healing-related proteins in fluid from the tooth and gums to see if the injection made a difference.
