Scientists use hypnosis to teach AI how to spot a calm mind

NCT ID NCT07102810

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looked at how the brain and body change during hypnosis. Fifty healthy adults took a standard hypnosis test while wearing sensors to measure brain waves and other signals. The goal was to collect data that will help create a machine-learning tool that can tell when a person is anxious, calm, or in a trance. In the future, this tool could be used to help people relax without drugs during medical procedures.
