First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests whether a new fixed-dose combination of two drugs (torsemide and spironolactone) works better than the current drug finerenone for people with both high blood pressure and chronic kidney disease. About 30 adults with moderate to severe kidney disease and high blood pressure will take one of the two treatments for a period. The goal is to see which approach better lowers blood pressure, reduces protein in the urine (a sign of kidney damage), and keeps potassium levels safe.
