Can pressurized oxygen tame severe gut inflammation?

This study looks at whether adding hyperbaric oxygen therapy (breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber) to standard treatment can help people with severe ulcerative colitis or hard-to-treat inflammatory bowel disease. About 44 participants will be randomly assigned to get either standard care alone or standard care plus hyperbaric oxygen. The goal is to see if the extra oxygen leads to better symptom control and healing of the gut lining.
