New heart valve study aims to improve life for patients with narrowed aortic valve

NCT ID NCT06507579

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study is testing a new heart valve called Hydra for people with severe aortic stenosis, a condition where the heart's main valve becomes narrow. Researchers will check how safe and effective the valve is up to one year after it's implanted. About 250 adults who are already eligible for this type of valve replacement will take part. The study also looks at a special heart monitor to detect irregular rhythms after the procedure.
