New hope for Tough-to-Treat cancers: first human trial of targeted therapy begins

Summary
This is the first human study of HWK-016, a new targeted cancer drug designed to deliver chemotherapy directly to cancer cells. The trial will enroll 265 adults with advanced ovarian or endometrial cancers that have stopped responding to standard treatments. Researchers will test different doses to find the safest amount and look for early signs that the drug might help control these cancers.
