New pill aims to halt silent kidney damage in diabetics

Summary
This study is testing an investigational drug called HTD1801 to see if it can slow the worsening of kidney disease in adults who have both Type 2 Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease. About 75 participants will take either HTD1801 or a placebo (a dummy pill) twice a day for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure kidney health through urine and blood tests to see if the drug is effective and safe.
