Summary
This study tested an experimental tablet called HSK44459 in 186 adults aged 40 and older with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a disease that causes lung scarring and breathing difficulty. The main goal was to see if the drug improves lung function measured by a breathing test after 12 weeks. The study also checked for side effects and how the drug moves through the body.
