Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called HSK31679 in 186 Chinese adults with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), a serious fatty liver disease that can lead to scarring. Participants took either 80 mg, 160 mg, or a placebo daily for 52 weeks. The goal was to see if the drug could improve liver health without worsening fibrosis (scarring). Results are not yet public, but the trial is complete.
