Could 2 HPV shots be enough? new study tests simpler vaccine schedule
NCT ID NCT04206813
First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether two doses of the HPV vaccine (Gardasil 9) can protect women aged 16 to 45 as well as the standard three-dose schedule. About 352 women from Boston Medical Center are taking part. Researchers will measure antibody levels in the blood to compare immune responses. If successful, a two-dose regimen could make it easier for more women to get protected against HPV-related cancers.
