Talking women into testing: study uses motivation to boost HPV screening

NCT ID NCT06662136

First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested whether motivational interviews based on the Health Belief Model could encourage women aged 30-45 to get HPV-DNA tests. 90 women who hadn't been tested in the last five years took part. They received four short interviews and educational materials. The goal was to see if this approach increased knowledge about HPV and led to more women getting tested.
