Rural clinics boost HPV vaccination with simple doctor training and parent reminders

NCT ID NCT04587167

First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tested two ways to increase HPV vaccination in rural Pennsylvania clinics. One group of clinics trained doctors to make strong vaccine recommendations and answer parents' questions. Another group added automated reminders for parents who initially said no. The goal was to see if these methods helped more 11- to 14-year-olds get the HPV vaccine. The study involved 30 clinics and measured vaccination rates over 12 months.
