Scientists probe how pumping iron shapes young bodies and brains

NCT ID NCT07267429

Summary

This study aims to understand how strength training improves muscle strength in children. Researchers will compare a group of 40 healthy kids doing 12 weeks of supervised strength training with a group that does not train. They will use non-invasive scans and sensors to see if strength gains come from the brain learning to use muscles better, the muscles growing larger, or both.
