Can a funny video make pain hurt less?
NCT ID NCT06840743
Summary
This study investigated whether different emotional states affect how people experience pain. Researchers had 180 participants watch short videos (violent, funny, instructional, or nothing) while experiencing brief pain. They measured pain sensitivity before and after to see if emotions changed pain thresholds, tolerance, and intensity.
