First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at how doctors estimate a patient's risk of a major heart event. Researchers wanted to see if things like race, gender, or personal details (like hobbies) influence those judgments. About 300 emergency doctors, cardiologists, and hospitalists took part. The goal was to understand if doctors' risk estimates match a standard tool, and what factors might lead to over- or under-estimation.
