Scientists dig deeper to unlock secrets of c. diff recovery
NCT ID NCT07374094
Summary
This study aims to understand why some treatments for C. difficile infection (CDI) work better than others. Researchers will observe 200 patients receiving either standard antibiotics or a fecal transplant as part of their normal care. By collecting samples and surveys over five years, they hope to learn exactly how these treatments help the body heal and prevent the infection from coming back.
