Hospital patients help test new breathing monitor technology

NCT ID NCT06633861

Summary

This study collected data from hospitalized patients to help develop better technology for measuring breathing rate. Researchers used finger sensors and nasal tubes to gather information from 75 patients (50 adults and 25 children) during routine vital sign checks. The data will be used to improve algorithms that estimate breathing patterns from pulse oximeter readings.
