Summary
This study is testing if a daily pill called upadacitinib can safely and effectively treat adults hospitalized with a severe flare-up of ulcerative colitis. Researchers want to see if this medication can help patients avoid surgery or other rescue treatments, and if it can work without the use of steroid drugs. They will follow about 50 participants for a year to check outcomes and safety.
