NCT ID NCT06851754

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at whether hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can help adolescent girls with premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), a condition where the ovaries stop working before age 40. About 185 girls aged 11-19 with POI will receive estrogen patches and progesterone pills, and their bone health, heart function, and other measures will be tracked for 2 years. Healthy volunteers will also be enrolled for comparison. The goal is to find the best HRT doses for this age group.
