Summary
This study tested whether using dressings containing honey helps surgical wounds heal faster after removal of a pilonidal cyst. Researchers compared honey dressings to standard dressings in 890 adults who had recently undergone this surgery. The goal was to see if the natural antibacterial properties of honey could reduce healing time, which can sometimes take over three months.
