Robot hand coach lets patients recover at home without a therapist

NCT ID NCT07182734

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether a hand rehabilitation robot (ReHandyBot) and a smartphone app (RehabCoach) can help people safely and effectively do hand therapy at home after a stroke, traumatic brain injury, or orthopedic injury. About 30 participants will first practice using the devices in a clinic, then take them home for daily 30-minute sessions. The goal is to see if patients can follow the therapy schedule on their own and find the tools easy to use.
