Parkinson's patients try At-Home brain zaps to ease stiffness and slow movement
NCT ID NCT07518290
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called temporal interference stimulation (TIS) can improve motor symptoms like stiffness, slowness, and walking difficulty in people with Parkinson's disease. Sixty-eight adults with mild-to-moderate Parkinson's will receive either active TIS or a sham treatment at home for 4 weeks, under remote supervision. Researchers will measure changes in movement and safety to see if this approach offers a practical, home-based option for symptom relief.
