Summary
This study tested whether the Ho'oponopono technique, a traditional Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness, could help people with a colostomy adjust better, feel more positive about their body, and improve their quality of life. Researchers enrolled 64 adults scheduled for colostomy surgery. Participants practiced Ho'oponopono, and the study measured changes in ostomy adjustment, body image, and quality of life using standard questionnaires.
