First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking a supplement called HMB, along with a standard exercise and shockwave therapy program, can reduce pain and improve knee function in athletes with patellar tendinopathy (jumper's knee). Thirty athletes will receive either HMB or a placebo for 8 weeks. The goal is to see if HMB helps them recover better than rehab alone.
