First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested a vaccine made from each patient's own immune cells and their own HIV virus. The goal was to see if it was safe and could lower the amount of virus in the blood after a break from standard HIV medication. Eleven HIV-positive adults who had never taken HIV drugs took part. The vaccine did not aim to cure HIV, but to help control the virus.
