First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tested a therapeutic DNA vaccine called ICVAX in 45 adults with well-controlled HIV on antiretroviral therapy (ART). The goal was to see if the vaccine is safe and can boost the body's own immune cells to fight HIV. Participants received either the vaccine or a placebo, and were monitored for side effects and immune responses over several months.
