First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at how many people visiting emergency rooms in South Africa have HIV or are at high risk of getting it. Researchers will offer HIV tests to all patients and help those who test positive or are at risk get connected to long-term care or prevention medicine (PrEP). The goal is to see if this universal testing and referral approach works in busy emergency departments.
