Survivors design their own health messages in groundbreaking NYC study

NCT ID NCT07264582

Summary

This study aims to see if digital messages created by sex trafficking survivors themselves can encourage more people in this group to get tested for HIV, STIs, and hepatitis C, and to order overdose prevention kits. The researchers will compare these survivor-made messages to standard public health messages in a trial with 368 survivors living in New York City. The goal is to find better ways to connect this high-risk group to vital health services they often struggle to access.
