First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study collects stories from doctors, nurses, and social workers who have worked in newborn intensive care units (NICUs) to understand how treatment decisions were made over time. Researchers will interview 15 people and use the recordings to write a book about the history of neonatology in the United States. This is not a treatment study—it aims to preserve knowledge for future generations.
