First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study aims to improve how doctors diagnose and track histiocytosis, a rare disease that causes cell overgrowth, in children under 18. Researchers will use PET-CT scans with a special tracer and check tumor DNA in the blood to see if these methods can detect the disease earlier and more accurately. The goal is to make monitoring safer and more effective for 150 young patients.
