New study tests best way to fix painful hip tendons after replacement surgery

NCT ID NCT05950022

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two surgical techniques works better to relieve pain caused by a rubbing tendon after a total hip replacement. Researchers will compare cutting the tendon in one location versus another during a minimally invasive procedure. About 108 adults who still have hip pain despite other treatments will participate, and their pain and function will be tracked for over a year.
