New computer system aims for perfect hip implant placement

NCT ID NCT06631638

Summary

This study is testing a computer navigation system designed to help surgeons place hip implants more accurately during total hip replacement surgery. Researchers will compare the actual position of the new hip 'cup' to the surgeon's pre-operative plan using X-rays. The goal is to see if this navigation technology leads to better, more predictable outcomes for people with severe hip arthritis or other conditions requiring joint replacement.
