Researchers probe why new hips can feel uneven
NCT ID NCT07431138
Summary
This study aims to understand why some people feel their legs are different lengths after hip replacement surgery, even when X-rays show they are even. Researchers measured thigh tissue stiffness in 68 patients who had hip replacements at least a year earlier. They compared these measurements to both X-ray results and patients' own perceptions of leg length.
