First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study used ultrasound to measure the thickness of certain hip muscles in 60 adults with hip pain on one side and compared them to healthy people. The goal was to see if the piriformis muscle and other gluteal muscles differ in size between the two groups. The study also checked for a related condition called deep gluteal syndrome. No treatment was given; it was purely observational.
