New Muscle-Sparing hip surgery aims to reduce pain and limping
NCT ID NCT06146205
Summary
This study compares two ways to perform hip replacement surgery after a hip fracture. It tests whether a newer, muscle-sparing surgical method (called SPAIRE) leads to less pain and better mobility than the standard lateral approach. The trial involved 476 adults over 50 with a broken hip who needed a partial hip replacement.
