First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using higher pressure during noninvasive breathing support (a mask that helps you breathe) can help people with pneumonia or ARDS avoid needing a breathing tube. About 706 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either high or low pressure. The goal is to see if high pressure helps more people survive without needing a breathing tube within 28 days.
