New scanner could help surgeons remove all cancer in one go

Summary

This study tests a high-resolution PET-CT scanner that images removed tumors right in the operating room. About 50 adults with solid cancers will get a standard PET tracer before surgery, then the removed tissue is scanned to see if all cancer was taken out. The goal is to see if this method helps surgeons make better decisions during the operation, with no extra visits or known risks.
