First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether drinking a high protein nutrition shake can reduce stomach side effects (like nausea and bloating) caused by semaglutide injections (Ozempic or Wegovy). Twenty generally healthy adults with a BMI over 27 who had been taking semaglutide for at least 4 weeks participated. They recorded their stomach symptoms for 3 days without the shake, then for 7 days while drinking the shake daily, and the scores were compared.
