First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving extra protein through feeding tubes to critically ill patients on breathing machines can lower the chance of death within 90 days. About 2502 adults will be split into two groups: one gets standard protein, the other gets a higher dose. The goal is to see if more protein helps patients recover and leave the hospital sooner.
