First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested a school-based program called 'High Five!' to help prevent overweight and obesity in children ages 7 to 9. Over 650 children took part, learning about healthy eating, physical activity, screen time, and sleep through fun activities. The program also involved parents to support healthy habits at home. Researchers measured changes in body mass index and blood pressure after 6 months to see if the program worked better than usual school practices.
