First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving children with dry overactive bladder (OAB) a short course of high-dose vitamin D (2400 IU daily) along with behavioral therapy works better than standard medication. The trial involved 180 children aged 5 and older who had low vitamin D levels. Researchers tracked changes in daily urination frequency and urgency to see if vitamin D could be a safe, effective alternative to anticholinergic drugs.
