Scientists test ultrasound & immune therapy combo to fight tough breast cancer
NCT ID NCT07394387
Summary
This study is testing whether using focused ultrasound to destroy breast tumors, combined with immunotherapy drugs that activate the body's defenses, can make standard chemotherapy more effective against triple-negative breast cancer. About 40 women with early-stage triple-negative breast cancer will receive either ultrasound alone or ultrasound plus immunotherapy before starting chemotherapy. The main goal is to see if this approach can completely eliminate cancer cells before surgery.
