First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) can safely reduce low back pain by using sound waves to target specific nerves. About 60 adults with mechanical low back pain that improved with a nerve block will be followed for 6 months. The goal is to see if this non-invasive approach provides lasting pain relief and improves quality of life.
