Blindfold treadmill training could boost stroke rehab

NCT ID NCT06972355

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests if hiding vision during treadmill walking helps people who had a stroke less than six months ago improve their balance and walking. Thirty-six participants will either walk with their eyes covered or with eyes open, three times a week for six weeks. The goal is to see if blocking vision forces the body to rely more on other senses, leading to better recovery.
