Summary
This study tested a new drug called MP-424 combined with two standard medicines (peginterferon and ribavirin) in 189 adults with untreated genotype 1 hepatitis C. The goal was to see if the combination could clear the virus from the blood 24 weeks after treatment ended. Participants had chronic hepatitis C but no liver cirrhosis or failure, and had not received prior interferon therapy.
