New hope for tough hepatitis c cases: Triple-Drug combo tested
NCT ID NCT00781274
Summary
This study tested whether adding an experimental drug called MP-424 to the standard two-drug treatment could help patients with a difficult-to-treat form of Hepatitis C who had not responded to prior therapy. It involved 32 adults with chronic Hepatitis C (Genotype 1) and measured if the virus remained undetectable six months after finishing treatment. The goal was to control the viral infection in patients who had few other options.
